Join YESC at the beautiful Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area for a day of removing invasive species, planting trees and restoring habitat! 

The work day will take place on Saturday, November 8 from 10am to 12pm.  YESC will provide lunch, tools & transportation from Seattle and Bellevue.  Bring a friend - all are welcome!  You must RSVP to attend - email yesc@seattleymca.org if you have questions or want to sign up!!!

We hope to see salmon spawning as we work along the Cedar River - you definitely won't want to miss it!

Managing Carbon: Footprints, Risk and Climate Action for Business and Government by Leah Baugh

This workshop is intended for directors, managers, policy analysts and executives in the public and private sectors who are seeking strategic guidance around emissions management and climate risk.

The workshop will explain key conceptual aspects of carbon footprints to assist decision makers who must manage a carbon footprint process now and understand the implications of the results. Various aspects of “climate risk”–new regulations, reporting requirements, and physical changes in climate – will be linked to carbon footprints and to climate action steps for immediate implementation and for medium- and long-term planning.
